With such circular counters in your figures, you may want to experiment with adjusting your design so that the middle counter is rounder.1 -

What's the order of your features? Is it possible that the alt ligature code above isn't triggering because it is encountered before the (ss?calt?) feature that changes A to A.alt?1 -

Looking at other similar-but-not-identical letters between cases (I imagine Ss or Ww would be good candidates) should be helpful for discerning the approprriate "caseness" of a given style.4
